CenturyLink has made more changes than just rebranding to Lumen Technologies. The company just added to its channel leadership with the appointments of vice presidents to lead indirect sales in the East and West Division. One of those promotions was a 2001 CICS alum, Craig Patterson; as reported by Channel Partners Online, Patterson will be vice president of indirect sales for the West Division in an expanded role. He previously was vice president of channel sales.
“My role is expanding beyond the traditional outside field channel sales organization,” he said. “I will now be leading a 100-plus person division for Lumen’s Global indirect program, which includes the outside channel sales organization, inside channel sales team, indirect retention organization, and national strategic organization for the West division. “
Additionally, Craig is the lead on the global expansion where he is working to build indirect channels in Europe, Asia & Latin/South America
Craig has been a huge supporter of CICS, as he has worked very hard to build a partnership with Lumen (formerly CenturyLink and CICS. Lumen/Centurylink has a sales academy where they hire recent graduates and put them through intense sales training. They have been actively recruiting CICS students.
